Unit One- Task One

Below are the the planning processes that I had to go through (or others would go through) and the reasons why I done these particular stages:

  •  Production organisation; this was done to organise my time most efficiently so I could get the most out of time.
  •  Roles and responsibilities; certain roles were allocated to each member in the group so people new there job and no confusion was there which would result in wasting time, strengths and weaknesses of the person were taken into account so we could get the best potential from them creating a better video.
  •  Schedules; similar to production organisation, this was to plan time efficiently to each date and hour so we could use maximum time and this would result in less time wasting, however if we would to fall behind on schedule this would also be there as a guide to show us what was still to be done and maybe make any sacrifices if needed.
  •  Interview and contacts; a list of interviews and contacts were taken (e.g. performer) this was to ensure they would turn up on time to any appointment or to the time of filming, and for them to contact me if they were unable to make any filming times.
  •  Appointments; these would be made with either people to film (e.g. outside knowledge) to make sure that this would fit well with the schedule and to ensure that if questions were going to be asked then I could plan them in advance so I could use the time with them more efficiently.
  •  Location recces; this was done to develop a 'vision' in mind so I could think of camera shots/ angles could be planned in my mind beforehand, this would also increase time efficiency.
  •  Budget (planned, evolving); this would have been used to help get the most out our budget whilst still not spending a lot of money but also not being cheap as we would want it to be the best quality for what we need. If the budget was to evolve then you would take into account the factors of inflation e.g.if you were to travel somewhere out of the city, the you would take into account the inflation of petrol and then add that onto the budget.
  •  Risk assessments; this was a vital part of the planning as it would make us wary of any dangers or problems that we may come across and so we can think ahead and plan how to possibly avoid them or if something was to happen then to plan for any miss-haps.
  •  Documentation; was made to get consent of people that participated or to record anything that happened in a particular event of filming, this would be done to make sure, if this particular event was asked about in the future we would have the evidence through the documentation.
